Microwave Chocolate Self Saucing Pudding

Microwave Chocolate Self Saucing Pudding

Winter = Winter Warmer Desserts

My go to winter warmer dessert = an easy chocolate self saucing pudding you can cook in the microwave! (Thanks to Tupperware for this one, I’ve been making it for years). I seriously whipped this one up in about 12 minutes max!
Ingredients
60g butter
1 1/2 cup self raising flour
1 cup caster sugar
1/4 cup cocoa
1/2 cup milk
1 egg
2 tspn vanilla essence
1/2 cup caster sugar, extra
1 tbspn cocoa, extra
1 3/4 cup hot water
Method
Melt the butter in a jug (or the microwave safe bowl you’re going to cook the pudding in). Stir in sifted flour, sugar, cocoa, milk, egg and vanilla. If you haven’t done already, pour into the bottom of a Tupperware stack cooker bowl (or any large microwave safe bowl). Mix together.
Combine the extra sugar and cocoa. Sprinkle over the top of the mixture. Pour over the hot water.
Cook on high for 8 minutes.

It should come out looking a bit like this. The water that you would have poured over the top turns into a lovely chocolate sauce…

Serve with cream, ice cream or just enjoy it on its own!

Love a chocolate pud. I blogged and baked the oven version of this and made it twice this week after a long stint of no puddings. Delicious!
