This post is brought to you by Heinz Infant Time is flying, my little girl is almost eight months old and introducing solids has been a completely different ballgame to that of Master E. I believe it’s the way I introduced solids this second time round that has been partly responsible for Miss M’s acceptance […]
As much as I'm not 100% keen on the term, yes, I guess you could call this a mummy blog because I am a mum and share my musings, experiences and thoughts on motherhood.
I'm definitely not about telling you how you should be raising your kids, I'm here to share my experiences, challenges and the occasional parenting tips in the hope that it is relatable and helpful because we all know how much pressure us mums put on ourselves!
I hope you enjoy scrolling through the numerous posts I have written over the years on motherhood, pregnancy, birth, toddler taming, childcare, postnatal depression, miscarriage, kids activities and more. And, I always love hearing from my readers too so feel free to drop a line.
Happy reading and thanks for dropping by.

When you’ve got kids from babies right through to teens, it’s tough keeping the house tidy. A tidy house lasts all of ten minutes when it’s inhabited by kids. It’s a serious downer when you bust your gut for hours vacuuming, mopping and putting things back in their place, only to find those very things […]
I don’t know about you but with a baby, a preppie, a household to look after and two businesses, I feel like I’m losing my shit all the time. My toenails haven’t been painted in months, my hair is so long and ratty it looks like a horse’s tail and my legs resemble a forest. […]
One more week and my first born will be achieving one of the biggest milestones yet. Prep. It’ll be a milestone for me too, my first child at primary school, yet my memories of my own primary school days are still so vivid. So far I feel as though I’ve been winging it with all […]
Whenever we ventured out in Mr G’s car that had a different car seat to my car, it was always the same. Miss M would be beside herself once we put her in her car seat. Any mother can pick up on when something isn’t quite right with their child when a cry is more […]
I can’t believe that as I write this blog post, Miss M is 6 days away from being 6 months old. How does that happen? But what I do know is that the few days leading up to her birth are extremely clear in my mind. Master E arrived at 36+6 weeks so I was […]
This week is an emotion filled one. Not only is my baby girl growing at supersonic speed and now five months old, my baby boy turns five years old and has his last day of kindy tomorrow because it’s off to prep next year. For me, Master E going off to prep is bittersweet. It’s […]
I see this conversation pop up on social media all the time and there are many mother’s (and fathers) that have the same view as me and others that don’t. Master E turns five this week and he still sees me naked. He too is happy to walk around in the nude. Quite often he […]
My breastfeeding experience with Master E was far from perfect and only lasted two months, but I knew in the back of my mind I would have a second chance with my next child. When I was pregnant with Miss M, I couldn’t wait to try breastfeeding again. I felt confident, I was better informed, […]
