It seems to happen every year, Fathers Day comes around and I leave the gifts and organising to the very last minute! With less than one week left, I still wouldn’t have a clue what we are doing and I haven’t even thought about gifts for Mr. G or both grand fathers (bad Mummy/Wife!), so […]
As much as I'm not 100% keen on the term, yes, I guess you could call this a mummy blog because I am a mum and share my musings, experiences and thoughts on motherhood.
I'm definitely not about telling you how you should be raising your kids, I'm here to share my experiences, challenges and the occasional parenting tips in the hope that it is relatable and helpful because we all know how much pressure us mums put on ourselves!
I hope you enjoy scrolling through the numerous posts I have written over the years on motherhood, pregnancy, birth, toddler taming, childcare, postnatal depression, miscarriage, kids activities and more. And, I always love hearing from my readers too so feel free to drop a line.
Happy reading and thanks for dropping by.
Elliott has just turned 20 months, which leaves me with 4 months to come up with cars birthday party ideas for his 2nd birthday party. What I do know is that it’s going to be a backyard affair, purely because now we have quite a large one, and it’s perfect for a kids party. It’s […]
Little E has had his fair share of illnesses these past 6 weeks. It started with vomiting and diarrhea, then a full body rash, then severe croup that required hospitalisation, then hand foot & mouth disease and now he’s fighting off a secondary chest infection of conjunctivitis! Oh how I’m looking forward to seeing a […]
When it comes to brushing Elliott’s teeth, you almost need to run for cover! There’s screaming, twisting and kicking involved, arms and legs flying and the risk of getting your fingers bitten off! Mr. G and I have persisted with this for a long time, Elliott simply does not like having his teeth brushed. We’ve […]
I am not the most creative when it comes to coming up with fun toddler activities and so I am very thankful for the internet which has allowed me to Google activities for toddlers. It’s likely you’ve seen this activity before or have done it yourself, but I will admit I was very proud of […]
Not many people that know me would know about a debilitating thing that I suffer with on a daily basis and have done for years. Today I’m just going to come out with it, and you may have it too. It’s called Anxiety. And I don’t mean getting anxious over the usual types of things, […]

Giving birth, the final stage Following on from part one My Birth Story: Labour Signs and part two My Birth Story: In Labour I started to feel the pushing urges I’d heard of women having. It was so overwhelming this urge to push, there was no way in hell I could hold it like they were telling […]
My birth story continued… Following on from part one, My Birth Story: Labour Signs And so my birth story continues. I put my not so lovely hospital nightgown on even though I brought my own nicer one. I was at the point of not caring, all of that seemed to go out the window. They inserted […]
Unexpected early labour signs at 36 + 5 weeks My labour signs really took me by surprise, particularly because they happened when I was 36 + 5 weeks and where they happened is a story we’ve told many times. It was Friday the 16th of December and we were at Mr G’s work Christmas party. […]
