I don’t need to tell you how tough being a new mum is, particularly the newborn stage.
Thank goodness this time around I’ve learnt to accept help and how important it is for my mental health to do so. With Master E, I was the complete opposite. I found it very hard to ask for help because I was trying to be bloody superwoman.
Doing something just for me
And it’s not just help from others that I’ve learnt to accept, but how damn good it makes me feel to do something just for me and not feel guilty about it.
It’s not much but there are things I’ve done for myself that have given me the kick back in my step that I needed. Things as simple as buying myself a bunch of flowers, taking myself to a local cafe for a coffee and cake and going for a massage.
The other thing I would highly recommend doing for yourself if you need a bit of a pep up is to send yourself a gift box from Heart in a Box or to someone you know needs it.
A shit arse week transformed…
I was having a pretty shit arse week before receiving this gift box from Heart in a Box, an emotion-filled week of tears, doubt and sleepless nights.
But this box had magic powers. The moment it arrived on my doorstep looking all pretty with its lovely little bow, I felt like I did when I was a little girl at Christmas time, eagerly awaiting what was inside.
So can you see how a new mum would love this gift box from Heart in a Box as the perfect pick me up? Or any woman who just deserves a bit of an uplift.
This is just one of the many gift box varieties on offer at Heart in a Box. Check out their website and drool over the other lovely gift boxes. www.heartinbox.com
