Yellow, Grey & Blue Home Office Inspiration Board #MummyMondays

I’m so excited, and I just can’t hide it…

Our renovations are two weeks away from being complete which means I have the exciting task of designing my new home office. For the past two years I’ve been working out of a junk room, it’s pretty much my desk in the middle of boxes, piles of junk and Elliott’s baby cot which is full of blankets. It is not a very motivating space at all.

Although my new office doesn’t look like much at the moment and still needs the VJ walls put in, carpet, ceiling, electricals, a wall and internal sliding door, my imagination has been working overtime thinking about the colours and design I’d like in my office space.

I’m a big fan of bright yellows and light blues/teals teamed with grey and so had a bit of a play around with a few ideas and thought I’d share them here with you.

I just love the website Polyvore. Have you ever used it? It’s brilliant to put your ideas into some sort of ideas board, great for a person like me who finds it very hard to visualise things without actually seeing them.

So here’s a bit of a collage I put together of the colours and design I’d love to have in my new office. I already have the desk shown here from IKEA. What do you think?

I’ve never been a fan of yellow but recently I’ve been loving yellow & grey. Perfect combo plus I love the teal/aqua colours already. Can’t wait to see the finished room.

I love it and I agree that a cluttered undecorated work space is not very motivating. I”m all about motivation – sometimes I motivate so long and so hard I dont have time left to write… like the other week when I decided to whip up a new gate to pretty up my coffee break.s.. I’ve got it bad havent I?

    (It wasnt even my gate)

It all looks great and must be so exciting for you. We are so desperately in need of a new house or a makeover for our current one. I’m just not so great at any kind of DIY or decorating. Hope the process goes smoothly for you.
