5 Luxury Wellness Retreats In Australia I’ve Been Drooling Over

Wellness Retreats in Australia

The idea of having a little “me” time is pretty mythical for us modern mums, isn’t it? But, I’m still hoping that time will come because I never underestimate the power of a well-earned break. It’s the perfect chance to de-stress, switch off and reset.

My last break was in Sydney when I was 20 something weeks pregnant. I flew down for a bloggers lunch and the simple fact that I could fly on my own, have my own hotel room and room service, was absolute bliss!

But I’m still dreaming of that elusive getaway to a wellness retreat ALL BY MYSELF (or perhaps with a mum friend).

I remember being teased by such relaxation whenever I browsed the pages of my Business Chicks magazine.  “What a perfect way to refocus and recharge,” I remember thinking as I admired the images of a woman relaxing back on a hammock with a champagne in hand.  Heck, I don’t think I’ve ever needed the recharge more, not even with my first child. I’m blaming my age and that’s another story!

I asked Gordon Bayne, Head of Travel at Scoopon, if he could recommend some wellness retreats worth splurging on that didn’t require loads of travel and here’s what he came up with.

WARNING: Get ready to be taken to a VERY relaxing place, even if it may only be in your dreams. I’ll let you know when it’s time to come back to reality.
