Do you ever see a new invention and think, “Why on earth didn’t I think of that?” I do it all the time and never have I done it as much as after having my kids and seeing some cool baby gadgets that would have truly made life easier had they been around when my kids were babies.

Cool baby gadgets I love

1. Bombol Pop Up Booster Seat

The Bombol Booster Seat is the ultimate in portable baby gear and one of the most clever baby inventions I’ve seen. As much as I’m happy with the twenty dollar plastic booster seat I got from Aldi, we haven’t really been able to cart it along to restaurants, family dinners or holidays. This Bombol Pop Up Booster Seat is amazing in how it folds away flat and then pops up into a sturdy and secure booster seat. Clever thinking that!

2. Doona Infant Car Seat Stroller

The process of putting the pram in the car and then taking it out of the car, sometimes multiple times in one trip, is arduous. Just imagine how much easier it’d be one one of these Doona Infant Car Seat Strollers?

3. Mountain Buggy Bag Rider

It was a tad bit challenging navigating around airports when we took Master E as a toddler on a family holiday to New Zealand. This Mountain Buggy Bag Rider would have made getting around so much easier!

4. Lalabu Soothe Shirt for Men

The Lalabu Soothe Shirt for men only came to my attention a few months ago and made me think back to when Miss M was tiny and how much I loved babywearing after not feeling comfortable doing it with my first child. My baby wrap wouldn’t have fit Mr G as it was t-shirt sizing and so I think the Lalabu Shirt for men would have been brilliant for Mr G to hold her close.

Lalabu Soothe Shirts also come in a style for ladies.

5. Baby Dam Bathwater Barrier

For both our children we used a baby bath. To be honest, this was a pain in the bum because it was so hard to lift out and empty the water. Having a Baby Dam would have made life a whole lot easier and I suspect we would have used less water too.

6. The Beebo

Ok, so apparently this has been around for a couple of years but I’ve only just discovered it and I’m so disappointed I didn’t know about it sooner! Breastfeeding just wasn’t meant to be for both my babies, no matter how hard I tried. After a few months for both babies, I turned to formula. The Beebo would have been perfect with Miss M,  I would have had a hand free so I could read a book or play with Master E at the same time.

I’m trying to figure out which one of these I would have loved to use the most. I’d have to say the Doona Infant Car Seat Stroller certainly would have made things a lot easier with two kids.

Which of these cool baby gadgets would you love to have used?
