Degas: A New Vision Exhibition + An Art Book for Kids (Giveaway)

The National Gallery of Victoria has opened the most magnificent exhibition for one of the world’s most beloved artists, Edgar Degas. The exhibition, Degas: A New Vision, runs from 24 June to 18 September 2016 and showcases over 200 significant works by the celebrated French artist never-before-seen in Australia. You can find more details about the exhibition here.

But what’s great about this exhibition is that the National Gallery of Victoria has kept children in mind. They’ve created a 79-page children’s book titled Degas: An Art Book for Kids. It’s been created for young artists aged 5 and up and is truly magical.

Degas An Art Book for Kids
Children are guided by two illustrated characters, Snail and Pigeon, around Paris stopping at famous landmarks such as the Louvre, the Palais Garnier – the home of the ballet – and the Eiffel Tower. The book allows children to take a visual tour of Paris while learning about the life and work of Degas. The book is full of gorgeous illustrations, activities and images of Degas’ beautiful artwork, such a lovely history lesson!

Here’s a bit of a sneak peak. Isn’t it gorgeous?
