Disney Zone at the V8s: A Child’s Paradise

Seriously, there’s nothing that I enjoy more than seeing my little boy thoroughly enjoying himself. There’s also no better feeling than when I hear him say ‘Thank you so much Mummy and Daddy’ after a great family day out.

So what made Elliott smile from ear to ear?

It was because he was in an absolute child’s paradise at the Coates Hire Ipswich SuperSprint at Queensland Raceway, one of the V8 Supercar rounds. And it wasn’t because of the V8s roaring around the track or the fact that we had the opportunity to get up close and personal with fast cars and their drivers, it was because Elliott got to hang out at Disney Zone with Lightening McQueen and Mack the Transporter.

What a magical and fun place it was for kids! Jumping castles, ice skating, bike riding, make your own Piston Cup and a real life Lightening McQueen and Mack the Truck. My heart melted as Elliott walked past both of them saying hello, like they were long time pals (considering how many times he’s watched the movie, yes, they probably could be).  Check out my short video to see why we loved Disney Zone so much.

One thing I will also say is that the ‘Pit Crew’ staff supervising the Disney Zone area were absolutely lovely. Each Pit Crew member were attentive with the kids, offered to take family photos, they ensured the kids safety on the jumping castles and that every single child had loads of fun.

The Disney Zone will complete a national tour in 2015, appearing at select V8 Supercars rounds and special events across the country.

The Disney Zone fun at the V8 Supercars now makes its way down south to New South Wales and Victoria. Check out the ‘Where’s Mack’ website for more information.  http://cars.disney.com.au/wheres-mack

And maybe you’re not too keen on V8 cars but your other half is, don’t worry, this is a great way to keep everyone happy. All you have to do is grab yourself a coffee and sit in the Parent’s Pit Stop while you watch your kids having a ball and while your other half is watching the race. Win win!

Sounds like an awesome event. My 2 year old daughter loves cars & would have loved it… Only we have her daddy home resting after knee surgery so that sort of ruins going out and having fun haha glad Elliot had fun!

Oh bugger. Well hopefully next year when they’re back in town they’ll have the Disney team with them again.

My little man would definitely love this. The older two would probably rather have teeth pulled but you never know. Glad your boy had an awesome day!

  6. Holy cow, that looks and sounds amazing! The girls would love this so much! I am going to have to look in to taking them to this. Thanks for sharing x

That looks awesome! My brother saw Mack and Lightning McQueen at the F1 a couple of years ago and sent our eldest photos of them – he now thinks his uncle is best friends with them!

Oh that looks so cool! I never knew they had such cool areas for kids. Makes me want to go to the v8’s even more now.

I nearly considered heading out to the V8’s this year, for that very reason {oh & of course so Hubby could watch the race} we haven’t been in about 6 years, maybe next year 🙂 looks like your little one had a great time.

It was loads of fun. My hubby went and watched the race a little while I spent time at the Disney Zone. I think it was a win win for everyone!
