I remember when I was a kid, fundraisers revolved around pie drives, lamington drives or selling a good old box of chocolates for school or sport’s club fundraisers.
Thank goodness we haven’t had to do a chocolate fundraiser because I know for a fact that I’d eventually have to end up buying the whole box AND THEN I’d probably end up eating most of it myself. I do also think that having a chocolate drive sends mixed messages to kids about healthy food. They actually spoke about this on Channel 10’s The Project not long ago.
What is Living Fundraisers?
What I love about Living Fundraisers is that they are family friendly, healthy and make great gifts that you can stash away.
At Living Fundraisers you can opt for the following ways to raise money by selling:
- Herb growing kits
- Veggie growing kits
- Flower growing kits
- Fruit growing kits
- Greeting cards, and
- Soy candles
How does it work?
Simply take home a carry bag, sell the items and return the money to your school or club.
Your profit is the difference between your sales and the cost of the carry bag. Find out more here.
A sneak peek into herb and flower growing kits
In addition to Living Fundraisers being a great alternative fundraising idea, the growing kits are a great way to encourage kids to get outdoors to do some gardening and as a way to teach them how plants grow. We had lots of fun planting our Sunflowers, Daisies, Chives and Basil!
