    This Mother’s Day….
I wish to soak in my children and embrace the day,
Not forget what it’s like to stop, laugh and play,
To treasure the treasures they’ve chosen so hard,
To wipe tears from my cheeks as I read their card,
To just ‘be’ and be present is my aim,
To all Mumma’s out there I wish you the same.

I’d initially say that I would love to spend Mother’s Day sleeping, relaxing, catching up on all the trashy tv that I miss when Peppa & Thomas take over & going out somewhere really fancy for lunch.

But then within 2 minutes, I’d change my mind and decide that the only thing I could possibly do on Mother’s Day is to spend time with my babies, hugging them, playing with them, reading to them, doing craft. Until they start to fight, throw tantrums & complain that my craft ideas are boring. Then I’ll be thinking, why didn’t I just take the solitude. Man I’m tired…..

Quite simply, I’d make another mumma happy, or at least try. Not all mothers get treats or spoilt, I personally don’t partake in Mother’s Day, it makes me feel sad. I feel loved by my family most days so the least I can do is add some sunshine to someone else.
Making others happy = me happy too!
