Homeware Gifts for Under $50

When it comes to gift buying, I have a budget and I try my best to stick to it. As much as I’d love to buy expensive and elaborate gifts for friends and family, the reality is that it’s not necessary and, well,ย it’s just not in our budget. The other thing when it comes to gift buying is that it can be so damn hardย (and stressful). I figure that almost everyone lives in a house, so homewares are an awesome gift idea for men and women!

Here are some great homeware gifts for under $50!

New York Pizza Plate

Now who doesn’t love pizza? Check out this awesome New York stoneware pizza plate! Not only is it the perfect size for pizza, it’s pretty to look at!

Amalfi Django Table Lamp

Cool and contemporary, these cement table lamps would be perfect for a stylish friend into an industrialchic look. I think they’re pretty groovy!

Grey Pod

Check out this nifty little idea. These are house planters that are made of 100% recycled felt. The pod-shaped vessel keeps plants (like succulents) safe and snug and they add a pop of colour to the room.

Hanging Candle Light Bulb Pendant

These contemporary industrial pendant lights are all the rage right now. I was actually checking out the ones at the cafe we went to for Father’s Day breakfast but then realised that they would require an electrician to install and it landed in the ‘too hard’ basket. But then I saw these. They look exactly the same but are for candles!

Hanging Candle Light Bulb Pendant (2)

$49.50AUD from Lifestyle Home and Living

What do you think of these gifts? I think they’re perfect for a man or woman and something a little different to the usual gadgets and gizmos!

Very cool gifts, and some also very functional. With a family as huge as mine, we aim under $20 for all the kids (other than my 2) or it would send us broke. I have a lot of niece & nephews (and you know the eldest lol) and hubby’s brothers aren’t at that point in their life yet so the family could get a lot bigger ???? but it’s amazing how creative you can get when you have to be.

Those lamps – the one on the right kind of looks like a toilet roll. Or perhaps I need new glasses….

I don’t buy many trinkets for the home. It would be nice to have a bit of a makeover.

I’m hoping to be super organised for Christmas this year, as my daughter is having major surgery in December with a six to eight week recovery. This post is fantastic timing and has inspired me to get started.
