Toddler Interview: 28 Questions

At age 3 and a half, Elliott is coming up with some absolute pearlers, those things he says that have Mr. G and I looking at eachother saying ‘what the?’ and having a good old giggle.  My favourite is his gorgeous response when I say ‘Thank you, Elliott’, he says ‘You’re welcome mummy.’ Ah, so cute!

So I decided to put together a bit of a ‘toddler interview’ with Elliott. Half way though he did say ‘Mummy, no more questions’ and many responses ended up being ‘nothing’, but I just think it’s really cute look at responses from the point of view of a toddler. They’re usually so honest!

I think some of these responses would come from the mouths of my school-aged boys still!

I stumbled at “chocolate brownies”…is it too early for morning tea? #21…so, so sweet. Have a good week Eva.

Very cute, Liam is also obsessed with all bodily functions and anatomy at the moment – he even has a special ‘bum bum’ song….

Hahahahaha oh this is just hilarious!!! What a cutie!!! Love this interview! You should totally do this every year with Elliott and see how his responses change lol.

So cute. And they sure do come out with funny stuff. My 2.5 year old is a mega chatter box (it’s a girl thing) and sometimes hilarious. Her manners are impressive & certain catch phrases, like ‘Oh, you’re right’, or ‘Mummy, I behaved’ (when requesting iPad) lol. Love it.

Don’t you just melt when your toddler says “I love you Mummy”! It used to get my toddlers out of all sorts of trouble! It still gets them out of trouble as teenagers as well!

How good is will have this record of the convo forever. My favourite part of being Grandma is talking and them…they don’t do so much listening. I miss being connected on a more regular basis as we we were for almost 7 years with 3 of our grandkids. Yesterday the 2 and a quarter year old was getting frustrated as her older siblings were telling me stuff on the phone so she shouted “E ee TALKING!!” It was her turn! She is Evie but still calls herself the cute E ee.
Your little bloke is a delight!

Oh I bet you do miss it, Denyse. Two year olds have so much fight in them, don’t they? LIttle Evie sounds like she’s got it over her older siblings. Good for her!

Oh this is so gorgeous. Glad to read that you share my love for brownies … yum! How cute when he says he loves you … heart melting moment.

    • September 15, 2015 / 9:25 pm

Brownies all the way! Oh, my heart melts every time he says I love you. It’s beautiful and when he says it, he really means it too.

So cute! I love their answers. I remember asking my son what he was doing when he was picking his nose. His response was, “looking for stuff”!

  10. September 14, 2015 / 1:14 pm

I am so gonna steal these to do with Punky. I’m pretty sure I’ll have the same problem of her getting sick of it halfway through!

  11. September 14, 2015 / 3:08 pm

So cute!!! I did this with my Little Miss a few months ago and got similar answers! ‘Nothing’ drives me nuts – what did you do today? Nothing. What would you like to eat? Nothing….

    • September 15, 2015 / 9:23 pm

Yep, the ‘nothing’ response was driving me nuts too and then I’d keep asking him the same questions and he would tell me to ‘stop mummy!’

  12. September 14, 2015 / 4:06 pm

This is so cute! My Mr 6 cracks me up with the things he says on a daily basis. I don’t think boys ever lose their fascination with poo and fart jokes!

  13. September 14, 2015 / 4:08 pm

Oh these are just the cutest answers. I wish I’d done this with my little ones when they were younger – oh and the obsession with poo doesn’t stop after toddler-dom……

  14. September 15, 2015 / 6:32 am

That’s so lovely and what wonderful answers. Have a lovely week

  15. September 18, 2015 / 8:35 am

That is adorable, one for the 18th birthday party, for sure!
