  1. Gift a Candle 

It’s time to get crafty! Making your own candles is super easy, here’s how:

  • Melt soy candle wax for 10–15 minutes.
  • Add your favourite essential oil to the melted wax.
  • Glue a wick to the bottom of your candle container and let it dry.
  • Remove the melted wax from the stove and let it cool somewhat before pouring it into your heat-safe container.
  • Let the wax sit in the container for about four hours until the outside is firm.
  • Cut the wick, so it’s half an inch from the top of the candle.

Once your candle is ready, put it in a gift bag and tie it off with a gift tag! This will surely brighten your neighbour’s day and have their home smelling lovely.

  1. Treat the pets

For the neighbours with pets, surprise them with some yummy treats! Here’s a homemade recipe to make it extra special.

  • ⅔ cup pumpkin puree
  • ¼ cup peanut butter
  • Two eggs
  • 3 cups whole wheat flour

Blend the ingredients into a dough, roll the dough out on a hard surface and cut out shapes with cookie cutters. Place onto a baking tray and bake at 180 degrees Celsius for 20–25 minutes! Add the treats to a bag, tie it off with a tag and make your neighbour’s pets day.
